PPAM Service Achievement Degree Program
The PPAM Service Achievement Degree was established to honor members of PPAM who have contributed service and brought recognition to PPAM. The Service Achievement Degree is earned by accumulating 50 PPAM service merit points as prescribed by the chart below. Members must apply for the merits they have earned and applications must be approved. When a member accrues 50 approved PPAM service merits, the PPAM medal will be awarded on a GREEN ribbon at the awards banquet at the annual convention. Members who have previously earned the Massachusetts Degree of Photographic Excellence will be awarded the PPAM Medal on a red ribbon to signify that they have received both degrees. For each additional 50 merits accrued above and beyond the first 50, the member will receive a gold start to pin to the ribbon. Merits must be applied for immediately following the year in which they were accrued.
The one exception to this is if the member will be completing the 50 merits at the convention and the service was completed AT THE CONVENTION, such as being a speaker, judge, or print committee member.
